Reviews
Had some excellent aburi, nigiri and sushi roll here today. Super fresh, good presentation, and quite good serve size.
The place is tucked away, but clean and neat.
One of the best Japanese katsu chicken curries I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating and gosh it’s excellent value for money. The serving size of this curry is huge, and it is simply delicious. Chicken was cooked perfectly, and the sauce had so much flavour and depth. Have picked up from the restaurant (very busy, but great you can order ahead) and had delivery which was still fresh and hot upon arrival.
Probably one of the worst dining experience I ever had in Brisbane…
Don’t get me wrong, the sushi is good, hence 2 stars. We went at a busy Saturday night, and they were seriously understaffed. Most of the empty tables were dirty with leftovers from previous customers, not to mention the long queue for ordering, but still.. they were still taking Uber eats orders the same time!
We sat at a dirty table for 20 mins for our order. No one came to clean our table during these 20 minutes. And when the waitress sent us the food, she didn’t even bother to clean the table first, just put the plate on top of the some food that’s left from the previous customer 🤢
We understand how busy the restaurant is, but perhaps train the staff better so at least customers can eat from a clean table? And perhaps pause the Uber orders until you can handle all the walkins?
The food serving was big. Food came quickly.
The fusion menu is very rich food with a lot cream cheese and mayo. Keep this in mind if want to traditional Japanese food. They do have a range of other items on the menu. The staff seem very nicely.
Ordered a tuna roll , salmon roll and beef yakiniku rice for 2 of us. And we finished it. Love it. ❤️ I think price is reasonable and food is decent.
Both our meals came out quite quickly. Chicken tarikaki was cripsy and just enough.
2 stars came from the food’s taste weren’t what I expected. I think the sushi from here are more like Australia style. So the stars are just my one opinion, I am surely think someone will still love them. Just different flavor and taste preferences.
Udon noodle is great. Noodles got good firm texture. Nice soup and crispy tempura! Recommend this one.
The smoked salmon sushi is the one which I think i will never order again. Salmon is very salty, the rice got no flavor also too soft, the cheese was too rich, after finished two of them. It’s really hard to keep on having it for way too cheesy and salty.
The other sushi was better. Still the rice was too soft and blend. But the fried shrimp is awesome, with avocado became a fresh and balanced flavor. This one would be more recommend.
The restaurant is clean, comfortable and the staffs are sweet.
The dishes were on the cheaper side, but the ingredient quality is there to match the low price. Overall I had some concerns about the freshness of the meats. I got a wagyu Bento box, the beef was super soaked in sauce and you can't really taste the beef anymore. This is perhaps a good thing. The salad dressing had a very strange flavor. Also got curry chicken udon the curry tasted very simple, like from a premixed packet and the chicken had a weird aftertaste. Also got a dragon roll which had good tasting eel but for some reason the rolls had also cream cheese in them. A terrible mix. Anyway customer service was extremely frosty, despite not expecting much from a place like this. I can imagine this place would be alright for a cheap lunch if you find out what dishes they can do well, but we did not enjoy ours.
